High School Guest Students
High school students may enroll independently in college-level courses as a tuition-paying student. When you enroll in these courses you are considered a High School Guest Student at Hawkeye.
Eligibility
High School Guest registrations are open to students 13 years of age or older who have met the requirements for any Hawkeye course requiring prerequisites and/or placement scores, as applicable.
Students who receive private instruction are eligible to take college courses.
Costs
You will be responsible for all costs. You are also responsible for providing transportation to and from Hawkeye.
How to Enroll as a High School Guest Student
Complete these steps to enroll as a High School Guest student:

Schedule required high school courses.

Meet with your high school counselor to select classes.

Complete the DualEnroll Application if you have not taken courses for college credit at Hawkeye.

Complete the High School Guest Registration form [pdf] and gather the following signatures:
- Parent/guardian (if the student is under 18)
- Your high school counselor (if the Hawkeye course is during the high school day/year)

You must meet Hawkeye's admission and course placement requirements, as applicable.

Access your My Hawkeye account to view your course schedule and Hawkeye student email. You will receive an email confirming your course registration and other important information.
